The above title, "Strange Man", represents the very real assessment of Terry Hancock, by a non-admirer. I will proudly let that label stand. For I have never attempted to spend too much time conforming to others' expectations, especially when those same "judges" are wrong about so very much involving any type of life relationship on this world.
Class clown, amateur radio operator, child development specialist, writer, musician, sound engineer, photographer, mixed media artist, digital artist, family medical practitioner are various other labels that I have been called.
In regard to my still art works, some of which are focal within Terspsichore, the little bio goes like this:
"The artist was born in southern Indiana (USA). Surrounded by luscious forests and green limestone quarries, he chose to pass his time through indoor pursuits, such as amateur radio, film and studio recording. As hobbies and past times, these experiences directly transferred to his digital still photography and editing. And his later knowledge as a medical practitioner appears to have assisted in anatomy studies."
Awarded the Big Ten Literary Award for Short Story, I never wrote again for over 25 years. Too busy with other activities, and with no reason to "do it again", I was happy fulfilling some of the other labels above. Till the need for Terpsichore.
It was nice to once again be involved in the oldest religion on earth - story telling. It provides multitudes of rewards for the teller and the reader/listener/viewer. The original story "Terpsi" provides the parallel, then interwoven, sections that might be expected. Stages, to the big stage and, then, a resolution of many problems. In its broadest sense, like all stories of old, it may represent daily challenges and the rare triumph. But I am not telling...
